Regular Seasonal Maintenance is the
key to increasing the longevity and performance of your fleet.
Your tanks and trucks each have specific needs that met regularly
will keep them running smoothly along with no surprises. To lapse
on your vehicles maintenance is to take your businesses well being
in jeopardy. Don't let it come down to negligence being responsible
for unfulfilled deliveries and upset customers!
Summer Maintenance
People in home heat delivery have the best opportunity
during the warm summer months to have a regular summer inspection.
It is without a doubt, the best way to examine what last years
busy season has done to your equipment. Even a mild winter of
steady deliveries will take a surprising toll even on quality
equipment, and while Allied Tanks in particular are built to
handle the really rough stuff easily, it still provides peace
of mind, knowing that all of your equipment is in tip top shape
and ready for the next cold front.
Let's separate this into the categories of what you
can do yourself to make sure your equipment runs well, and the
services we provide that let you know the inner workings of your
fleet have received the Allied Quality certification*.
What you can do
There are several things you can do yourself to inspect
your vehicles and regularly handle routine maintenance. Always
check all of the fluids as with any vehicle, inspect your PTO
equipment, and inspect all of the plumbing and gaskets visually.
Certainly ask drivers regularly whether they have been experiencing
any strange noises or behaviors from their equipment. Check all
of the valves for leaks, and make sure all of the electrical
signals are both visually and audibly functioning properly. All
of your vehicle maintenance should be documented, and will serve
you as a way of seeing trends in replacement parts, and the other
costs that go into fleet maintenance. It is customary to give
your vehicles this level of inspection monthly. Doing so will
greatly increase the odds of long term trouble free performance.
And how we can help...
Allied certification means that your vehicle has
been pressure tested, and calibrated for accuracy. We double
inspect all of the wiring and plumbing and have digital diagnostic
checks that see things and measure them in ways the human eye
cannot. We recommend having equipment inspected by Allied Certified
Vehicle Inspectors annually. Most of our clients prefer the
summer months when we can offer special pricing incentives,
and when their equipment is not as "pressed for time".
Others, however, like to do a last minute pre-season inspection
so they know that going into the season their equipment has
just received certification and should perform great through
those tough months of abuse!
